Refunds & cancellation

The honest version: because your document is supplied instantly, you agree at checkout to waive the 14-day cooling-off right — here’s exactly what that means, and what rights always remain.

Your 14-day right — and why you’re asked to waive it

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, buying digital content online normally comes with a 14-day right to cancel. The same Regulations let that right end early where the content is supplied immediately: if you expressly ask us to supply your agreement straight away and acknowledge that you lose the right to cancel once supply begins, the right to cancel ends when we supply it (regulation 37).

That’s why the checkout includes this consent: “I ask LendRight to supply my document immediately and acknowledge that I lose my 14-day right to cancel once it is supplied.” If you would rather keep the full 14-day right, don’t tick it — but we can’t begin the signing process until the cooling-off period has ended.

Model cancellation information

If you have paid but supply has not begun, you may cancel within 14 days of purchase without giving a reason — email doit@trylendright.com with your reference number, or use any clear statement of cancellation. We will refund within 14 days of your cancellation, to the original payment method.

Rights that never go away

  • Faulty digital content. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If your sealed document or certificate is defective, we’ll repair, replace or refund — the waiver above does not affect this.
  • Our own goodwill. If something went wrong that the law doesn’t strictly cover — a duplicate payment, an obvious mistake — email us. We’d rather refund than argue.

What the £24.99 covers

Drafting is free. The one-time £24.99 applies when an agreement is sent for signing and covers both parties’ e-signatures, the sealed PDF, and the Certificate of Completion. The price shown at checkout is the total you pay.
